Our DLP printer uses a process called photopolymerisation to create its 3D waxes. In layman’s terms, this means that it grows the 3D model from a liquid bath of resin, wax or rubber. In this way, it is similar to SLA, but it is superior in that it cures whole layers at once, making it quicker.

We are fortunate enough to own two rapid prototyping machines, operated from our London workshop: the ProJet MJP 2500W 3D wax printer and a DLP printer which prints in castable resin, non-castable resin, plastic and rubber. Both produce very high quality prints.

If you are unsure which material is right for you, just let us know the end-use for the print and we will advise you which one would be best for your project. Our standard service is next day, but we also offer an express same day service for an additional fee.

CAD SERVICES

3D SCANNING

Our top of the range 3DS LED light structured HD scanner can scan pieces up to 100mm in size and our brand new handheld portable scanner can scan pieces up to 300mm in high definition. The end result is a high quality scan fully prepared for printing or for further CAD work. It is the perfect solution for copying pieces, fixing pieces, changing sizes, hollowing out and for record keeping.

We can scan jewellery, diamonds and other stones (including emeralds as long as there are no deep stress cracks), body parts and miscellaneous objects including figurines, plants or insects.

Prices start from £40 plus VAT for small scans and £85 plus VAT for scans using our portable scanner. Prices depend on the size and scanning time of your piece and we offer discounts for multiple scans. Please email us at sales@galacreations.com for a no-obligation quote.
